L'BRI was founded by Linda and Brian Kaminski over 20 years ago!  Started in the late 1990's, it is a Wisconsin based company that saw the need for safe, effective skin care that was good for the body and the pocket book!  L'BRI is very proud to be a company that stands by their values and mission 20+ years later.

Have you ever looked at the back of the bottle of that products you use on your face?  Did you know that those ingredients are listed in the order of most to least?  If you look at the back of L'BRI products, you will see that aloe is ALWAYS the first ingredient listed, even in their shampoo and conditioner! 

L'BRI is aloe based, paraben free, sulfate free, cruelty free, gluten free (except in rejuvinating facial peel) and they use recyclable packaging! 

Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS):

It is a surfactant and its job is to make your products foamy when using it.  Sodium lauryl sulfate is commonly found in facial cleaners, toothpaste and shampoo due to the fact that it is the foam maker...... however it is also used in degreasers, dish soap, engine cleaner, garage floor cleaner and industrial car washes! 

SLS is also a huge contributer to canker sores, eczema and other skin issues! 

Parabens

These are synthetic chemicals that are added to products to increase their shelf life by reducing or preventing the growth of bacteria and mold.  

The issue with parabens is that they have been known to disrupt hormone function! 

Artificial Fragrance or color

Artificial fragrance is usually  made from petrochemicals, yes petro like petroleum (YIKES!)

These can cause issues like skin irritation, asthma, allergies, eczema, headaches, hives, nausea, psoriasis, wheezing and contact dermatitis! 

Artificial color is usually made from coal tars, petroleum and even heavy metal salts.

These can cause irritation to skin, cause break outs, rashes, redness, clog pores, and allergic reactions on skin!

Waxes or oils

Waxes and oils are used in skin care to "keep skin hydrated".  They do this by blocking and plugging up pores causing redness, irratation and acne breakouts.  They are also made from petrochemicals and they are used because they are cheap and cost effective for manufacturers to use.  

These waxes and oils make the skin congested, causing pores to become blocked therefore causing acne.  It can also prevent the skin from being able to sweat properly!
